This basically means that they play a big part in payroll since they deal with salaries and benefits. An HR manager also has other things to do that aren't even related to hiring or money. They are also responsible for making sure that the environment people work in is safe and fun. They want to make sure that the employees are happy. Often times an HR manager is where people go to when they have problems and want to discuss them with someone in management. The HR manager will take all of the appropriate steps in order to make sure that the employees are happy and safe, so they are enjoying their time at work. There are many other things that can be included in human resources job descriptions, but these three are very key.
